My name is Tina Marie Pelkowski, and I am a United States-based illustrator known on social media as Palesile. Majoring in illustration, I graduated with an AA from the Academy of Art University and a BFA from the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design.

I’m married to my very own knight in shining armor (I still wonder if I’ve dreamed him up!) and together we have two loving pups - a mini Aussie named Winifred and a French Bulldog named Harold. We’re working on making our first house a home and have big dreams of growing our family very soon.

Having always been fascinated by the various forms of storytelling, I can often be found with my nose in a book or wiping my eyes after a film. With an enthusiastic appreciation for animation and technology, my primary medium is digital painting and design. I sometimes dabble with animatics and traditional watercolor. One thing I take pride in is my ever-growing collection of books (there aren’t enough shelves in the world); It has guided me where I am today, and I can now say that I’ve happily settled into a career in book illustration and cover design.

I love bringing the written word to life, whether it’s a scene that shows the subtlety of human interaction, or just bringing imagined characters into a visual space. I hope that the whimsy of my art appears as though being viewed through rose-colored film, from my heart to yours.
